The Bible Plan of Salvation

Everyone Is A Sinner.

According to the Bible you must understand you are a sinner. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23   All men are born with a sinful nature and separated from God.  You have missed God’s standard of holiness.

Penalty of Sin is Death.

Consequently, the penalty of sin is physical and spiritual death.  “For the wages of sin is death.”  Romans 6:23a

Salvation is through Jesus Christ.

God loves you unconditionally and sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross for your sin.  “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:8  Jesus Christ is God’s only payment for man’s sin.  “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6  Through Him you can experience both eternal life in heaven and abundant life on earth.  “. . . I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10b  Salvation is God’s free gift. “. . . but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23b  Salvation is by God’s undeserving grace.

Confess and Repent of your Sin.

If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you must confess your sin to God “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9  and repent of your sin. “. . . they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.” Acts 26:20b  Repentance is turning to Christ and away from your sin.

Trust Christ as your Lord and Savior.

You must be willing to repent and place your faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  Romans 10:13  If you would like to receive God’s gift of grace and eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, pray this prayer from your heart.

“Dear God, I believe Jesus is your Only Son and that He died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead.  I know I have sinned against you.  I am willing to turn from my sins and receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior.  Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life.  Help me to live and serve you from this day forward.  In Jesus’ Name.”  “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.”  John 1:12
